Sampling
Sampling allows the product to be verified before mass production, through detailed photos and videos or by shipping the physical sample to the client.
Sampling serves to verify that the real product matches the specifications before committing materials and production capacity to a whole batch. Depending on the project we may use physical prototypes, pre-production samples, colour samples, print proofs or validations documented with high-definition photos and videos.
Each sample is analysed on the relevant characteristics. An elastic fabric must be measured under conditions of use, a QR code must be tested with different devices and distances, a colour must be compared with the correct reference and an assembled component must be subjected to stresses consistent with its function. The observations are gathered into a single review and sent to the manufacturer.
The number of rounds is not fixed. Mass production starts when the agreed features have been validated and the sample can become a reference for the factory and for quality control. When deadlines are tight we can approve intermediate steps through multimedia material, without giving up the essential checks.
