OEM
In OEM production the product is born from the client's specifications and made by the factory with a very high level of customisation.
By OEM we mean projects in which the product is made to the client's technical specifications. Shape, measurements, materials, performance and details may require dedicated drawings, new moulds or specific tooling. The result offers a high level of customisation and can be reserved for the brand that developed it.
OEM management requires more complete technical documentation. We define ownership and storage of the moulds, tolerances, acceptance criteria, file protection and reorder terms. If the product is sold under the client's brand, we also analyse the obligations that may fall on whoever has it designed or manufactured in their own name.
The initial investment is normally higher than for a catalogue product, but becomes more efficient with reorders because moulds and parameters are already available. OEM is suitable when differentiation, functionality and control over the product have strategic value.
