The AP Racing project concerns custom technical wristbands, made of elastic fabric and developed to specific measurements. The main difficulty was the behaviour of the material, because a size correct at rest could change once worn.
The first sample showed that nominal measurements alone were not enough. Elasticity, construction and tension affected the final size, making it necessary to adapt the product based on its real behaviour.
A total of three sampling rounds were carried out. After each test we gathered the client's feedback and realigned the manufacturer, progressively correcting dimensions and elastic response before production began.
