The Garofalo stress ball is a PU-foam gadget, fully custom-developed in the shape of a butterfly. The client gave us wide freedom on the communication side too, asking for a simple yet iconic object able to evoke Italian character and the world of pasta.
We chose the butterfly because it is an immediately recognisable shape and easily translated into a three-dimensional object. Other pasta shapes would have required more complex geometries, with greater production difficulty and higher costs.
The product was developed from scratch through a dedicated mould, working on turning the outline into a volume suited to foam production and on the correct brand application. Garofalo later told us that the gadget was particularly appreciated during the event.
